The Chasen gradually loses its curved shape naturally by repeated use or not being used for a long time. The whisk stand counteracts this by helping the whisk retain the curved and flared shape of the tips. After all, the carefully processed bamboo Japanese and the original shape of the whisk is what makes the whisk so effective in whisking Matcha.

After using the whisk, wash it only with water the best would be slightly warm water. Then place the whisk on the stand and let it dry sufficiently. Always store your whisk in a cool and well-ventilated place. Which is important because a Whisk can become moldy if not dried sufficiently.
