GUIDED TEA TOURS

Would you like to learn more about the cultivation of green tea and the different types of tea? Would you like to know how the processing of the best green tea is done? Then you should visit Uji.

2024 we will be offering two tours:

The Uji region is the birthplace of green tea and was the first region green tea was cultivated on a grand scale. The city of Uji is located south of Kyoto the ancient capital of Japan and can be reached in a short time by train. The oldest tea houses in Japan are located here and gourmets will find countless sweet and salty menus, which are refined with green tea. Uji is well worth a visit and has something for everyone, not just for green tea lovers. Special mention should be made of the two Unesco World Heritage Sites: The Byodoin Temple and the Uji-gami shrine.
